Mark Puleo graduated from the Syracuse University College of Arts & Sciences in 1972 and from the Syracuse University College of Law in 1975. He was admitted to practice law in New York State in 1976 and was admitted to practice in The United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern District in 1978. He has authored articles for the Westchester Bar Journal on uninsured motorist claims, products liability defenses, and excess liability coverage. He frequently serves as a judge for the moot court and client counseling competitions at Pace University College of Law, and has conducted seminars for claims adjustors on Supplementary Uninsured Motorists Claims in New York. He is a member of the Westchester County Bar Association and the Bronx Bar Association, and has served as an arbitrator for Westchester County Court. Before joining Short & Billy P.C. in 2007, he was an attorney of record for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in White Plains (1987-2006). As a senior trial attorney for Liberty Mutual, he handled numerous jury trials on a wide variety of auto, homeowners, municipal liability, premises liability, and products liability cases, as well as declaratory judgment actions involving coverage issues and arbitrations on uninsured and underinsured claims. Mr Puleo has also been a staff attorney for Continental Insurance Co. and was an associate attorney with Alexander, Ash, Schwartz and Cohen in New York City.
